Bonsan Absolutely Vegan | Review
Oh yass, lucky me won a Giveaway! Honestly, I usually never win anything. I was so so happy when I heard I won RomyLondonUK’s Veganuary giveaway with Bonsan! They have sent me lots of goodies and I thought why not document how I found the goodies we’ve recieved!?
Bonsan Organic Breakfast Scramble
Alright, let’s get started with the Breakfast essential, Scramble! The first thing I need to mention is that I haven’t had any vegan scramble before. Also, before going vegan I couldn’t stand scrambled egg, the texture is a nightmare, haha!
Firstly, the scramble is vegan and gluten-free and so so easy to make. Just pop it in the pan, squash it with a fork and it’s ready to go. I added a few mushrooms and cherry tomatoes because I remembered my parents used to do that with scrambled egg and I spiced it with some salt and pepper.
I can say the scramble is actually really delicious! The texture is nowhere near as wobbly and weird as scrambled egg and it has some sort of a cheesy flavor to it I would say. We just had it by itself which was nice but I really want to try it again on some toast; even thinking about it makes my mouth water!
Bonsan Organic Kofu Grill Sausages
We tried to make a little fry-up on Sunday so we had these vegan (and also gluten-free) sausages with the scramble. Just like the scramble they are easy to make; you can easily fry them for a few minutes and they’re ready to enjoy.
The sausages are made of fermented Kombucha Tofu (that’s why they’re called Kofu sausages I guess 😉 ) It is very hard to describe the taste and I’ve never had Kombucha so I can’t tell you if they taste of Kombucha or not, sorry! What I can say though: They’re delicious! They don’t taste similar to meat sausages but for me this is a good thing as I easily get put off a ‘meaty’ taste.
Bonsan Organic Almond Creme Wild Garlic
OMG, I don’t even know where to start with this! The cream is so so delicious and has so much taste to it; it’s just absolutely dreamy! I am absolutely in love with it and it’s so versatile. I use it as a spread on bagels and bread but it’s also great as a dip for your veggies or bread sticks. Another bonus for the ones of you with allergies, the dip is also gluten free! Honestly, the only ‘negative’ thing I can say is that the tub is too small, haha!
Bonsan Organic Sweet Mustard Dressing and Cocomayo
So the cocomayo (mayonnaise made with coconut oil) is the least favorite product I have tried from the range so far. I want to be honest with you so I said it; not easy for me as I am scared of offending others, haha! I find the consistency a bit odd and I wouldn’t say it tastes like ‘normal’ mayo.
If you are a fan of coconuts you might really like the cocomayo but I am just not a fan.
The Sweet Mustard dressing though.. It’s so creamy and absolutely delicious! At first I thought it might be a bit too sweet but it really complimented the salad (I always top mine with roasted chickpeas and they were incredible in the dressing). I would definitely buy that if I find it in a shop! The only negative point is that it needs to be consumed within 5 days; that might be difficult if you don’t eat salad every day.
Bonsan Organic Fruity Stars and Tropical Kisses
Before I talk about the taste of these, can we please appreciate how adorable the gummies look?! Done? Ok, so when comparing these I would pick the Fruity Stars simply because I find the other one’s texture a little funny. And I absolutely love everything lemon flavored so the yellow stars were gone straight away! The Tropical Kisses are very nice too; Connor preferred those and literally inhaled them, haha! In general I can say that these gummies are absolutely delicious and yes, I would buy these as well!
Again, these sweeties are gluten free, great for if you have an allergy!
There we go, this is everything I have received when I won the giveaway. I hope you have enjoyed this little review. Let me know which Bonsan product you would love to try!
Lots of love to you,
