Five Date Ideas for Couples

Five Date Ideas for Couples

Today I’m in a bit of a cheesy and romantic mood so I thought about dating ideas I would like to share with you.

My mum always says I’m the most unromantic person in existence but it’s time to prove she’s wrong! πŸ˜‰

These ideas are probably better when you’re already a couple but some of them also may work as a first date! Have fun testing some of the ideas and let me know how it went!

Have a Photoshoot

No, I’m not talking about paying a third person to take ridiculously expensive pictures of you. I’m talking about using your own camera or phones to take pictures of each other. If it’s sunny go for a walk and try to make your partner look as good as possible. At first it may seem suuuper weird taking pictures of each other but in the end you’ll have many nice memories of this day. If I was you I would also take lots of selfies so you have some super cheesy pictures with the two of you.

Enjoy a Pyjama Night

Let’s buy some snacks, change into your cosiest onesie or pyjama, order a delicious takeaway and watch a film while you’re cuddled up into a blanket on the sofa. Of course, usually it’s nice to do exciting stuff with your better half but sometimes it’s just great to do nothing. To make it even cosier switch off the light and use some candles instead. Even if your boyfriend isn’t super romantic he’ll love cuddling you in the candlelight, trust me!

Go to a Museum

Dress up and go to one of those fancy art museums they have in every bigger city. Even if you don’t have any clue about art just pretend you have! Discuss what each of you see in modern art and have fun. Although you might think you’re not interested in arts at all I’m sure you’ll find at least some pictures or statues you’ll like.

Cook Together

Cooking together may sound quite boring but I’m not talking about cooking some pasta with a tomato sauce out of the jar. I talk about going crazy with the cooking. Try to have several courses, make many different small bites (like tapas), things like that. Try something you both have never tried before. I can’t really explain why but cooking together always makes me feel closer to my boyfriend. Maybe it’s worth trying?

Have a Game Night

Let’s be honest, there’s nothing better than a good old monopoly match! But even if you’re not a fan of this game there are tons of other great boardgames to play. And maybe, after some rounds of boardgames and beer you want to play a round of truth and dare?! Especially when you already know each other quite well it can be even more fun to play it because you know exactly how to tease them. It’s also a great opportunity to find out things you’ve never talked about before. πŸ˜‰

That’s it for today, let me know what you like to do on date in the comments below!

  • One of the best “adventures” my fiancee and I have had happened on a random Friday when I had a day off work and the apartment to myself. With our tiny 500sq ft studio apartment, I decided I’d embrace my younger mind for the day and build an elaborate fort that included using a Swiffer and rubber bands as the center foundation.

This little construction project took about two or three hours, then I headed to the local grocery mart to by ingredients for a pasta dinner. I was completing dinner just as she was getting home, and she was thrilled (and confused) by the transformation that occurred while she was gone.

We ate our dinners inside the fort where the television was incorporated into the design, so we really had a movie theatre/fort all in one. Rather than doing the adult thing and tearing down the fort the next day, we left it up the entire weekend. It was a great “vacation” from the Monday-Friday work grind, and made the next week seem like nothing could go wrong.
